Shipping Specialist

The Shipping Specialist has a critical role in our business in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. You are the last person to handle a customer’s order, so you will leave an impression on every shipment that leaves our facility.

Primary Job Duties

• Double check part quality & quantity
• Pick & package parts for secure & cost effective shipment (parcels & skids)
• Prepare all necessary documents and paperwork for domestic and foreign shipments and coordinate with customers and shipping carriers
• Meet accuracy and on-time delivery objectives

Skills

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent education
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions with freight carriers, customers, customs officials, and other Trico employees
• Be willing to learn how to use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and a forklift
• Within one month, obtain and maintain OSHA-complaint forklift certification
• Be able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds and carry them for up to 10 feet
• Be able to stand, sit, bend, reach, and move about the facility
• Display flexibility to accommodate changing tasks and priorities

Experience:

 

• warehouse / shipping: 1 year (Preferred)
• Picking & Packing Parts: 1 year (Preferred)
• Equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.): 1 year (Preferred)
• paperwork (domestic & foreigh shipments, customers, carries): 1 year (Preferred)
